Italy, again and again and again.

This photo was taken while I was in Sicily - I manages to be invited inside a real palace that was being refurbished, climbing up scaffolding I was face to face with artist that were "sul lavoro".  I mention this because I'm off again to Italy (well someone has to do it) this time for the first time to Rome and Florence.  I have no set schedule so I may end up in places I've yet to dreamed of.

What you might ask is "what ask does this have to do with the title of my blog?".  Well at the moment nothing however in the future it will become evident.  My blog was created to express and also listen to quarries about things that one can not seem to let go - like a "dog with a bone".  These statements or questions usually begin with a disbelief of sorts.  Like "Why did he give me the finger? I signaled." or "I just wanted a trim now I look like I enlisted in the service" - "why don't people listen - I hate my hair"?  "Why don't people listen" is a big one or why did she say that, or do that, or suggest this when she knows I hate brown.  It goes on and on.  As you can imagine tons and tons of stuff came up during the recent election, to be honest I have tons and tons of things I could not let go of.  Well that's all behind us now and we must move on - I'll give it my best shot but you may hear some of my unpublished stuff about this election come up in the future because I still will probably need to be heard by the people who don't listen.

Back to Italy, I'm off in a few weeks and only now starting to think about what to bring.  My desire is to have as little as possible for a one month trip, only because I have to schlepp it myself.  My truth is I would love to take everything sort of how they traveled in the Victorian days.  Here's a "bone" what happened to the glamorous trains and helpful porters I know existed because I watched them on television in Fred Astair and Gene Kelly movies. Did Hollywood make all that up? Okay, I am not ADD (at least I don't think I am). Back to Italy ...... well actually right now I'm off to Magellans. Perhaps there will be a "bone" or two on this outing.

Linda Ellen,

I love the photo of you in Italy, I thought I was looking at a painting! Thank you for starting this blog and I understand the feeling about not feeling heard and warrants repeating things over and over and over again.

I look forward to keeping up with your journeys in Italy.

Linda -

It's Cristina. I also love the picture and background in your blog. This seems like a wonderful forum.
For me, this week's bone is: I went to one of those new-fangled ATMs that scans checks immediately - no envelope needed! I've always been quite suspicious of "time saving technology" because I waste far too much time looking at blogs on the internet and trying to figure out why my iPhone application isn't syncing from my iTunes... blah blah blah. Needless to say this "time-saving" technological wonder of an ATM did exactly the opposite of save me time and stress. It ate up a check without processing it, returning it, or giving me a receipt. Actually, this is something which used to occur in Italy (and other fabulous places where people can ease their souls with a glass of wine midday). Unfortunately, I could not drink at work yesterday to set my mind at ease after calling a million numbers and being tossed around an automated system more circuitous than a talking parrot's brain. Anyhow, I am feeling a bit calmer today and very grateful to use your blog as a place to rant. If you want to rant on my blog as well, feel free: www.everyeveryone.blogspot.com
